Our history

1979: LLIBRES TEXT is founded, a family business dedicated to the distribution of school supplies and educational management services for schools and institutions. From the very beginning, Llibres Text has grown progressively, becoming a professional benchmark in the sector throughout Catalonia, always keeping in mind our history and our values, which are based on a close, personalised and exclusive approach to each customer.
2012: With the premise of working within a human business culture, we have extended our services to include the e-commerce system, in order to provide the online shopping tool and to adapt to the changes and new needs of our customers, both in the technological and social fields. This has placed Llibres Text in an advantageous position in the sector, offering a rigorous, experienced and professional management of educational services, committed to continuous improvement.
2020: After years of constant growth, Llibres Text decided to combine its professional experience by acquiring one of the leading companies in the sector, with twenty-five years of experience. In this way, we are extending the scope of our activities, our commercial reach and the professional services we offer to our customers, while maintaining the company's growth path. On the other hand, we also entered the market of language academies, acting as distributors and managers of more than 700 academies.
2021: Digitalisation is here to stay in the education sector, and Llibres Text is renewing itself, offering its customers solutions to provide them with pedagogical tools adapted to the new times. This is why, we developed new digital services and worked to promote educational digitalization; we did so with the creation of the UbiCa platform, with which we facilitate access to all digital licences in a single space for the student, freeing the school from all the management and activation of all of them. Furthermore, we developed the Sapiens app; the digital tool that aims to facilitate and streamline communication and daily management between the school and families.

Interesting facts

We currently have 23 permanent employees, 12 of whom are women, and 40 casual workers.
We have more than 3000 m² of our own facilities, with our headquarters in Vilamalla (Girona) and a branch in Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona).
In the last financial year we worked with 274 educational centres and sent more than 101,000 bookings to whom we provided all the necessary study tools; doubling the previous year's turnover, with an increase of 115 %.
